How Hostinger Pricing Works
Hostinger uses promotional pricing tied to contract length. The longer you commit upfront, the cheaper your monthly rate. Here is how it breaks down for each plan:

My take: The Single plan exists so Hostinger can advertise sub-$2 pricing. It works for what it is, but the Premium plan costs $1/month more and gives you exponentially more value. The math does not favour Single unless you genuinely need only one site and want the absolute lowest cost.
Premium Web Hosting ($2.99/mo): Best Value
You get: 100 websites, 100 GB SSD storage, free domain (first year), 100 email accounts, free SSL, weekly backups, unlimited bandwidth, and SSH access.
Who this is for: Bloggers, affiliate marketers, freelancers, and small businesses. Anyone who might run more than one website now or in the future.
What is missing: No daily backups (weekly only). No staging environment. No free CDN.
My take: This is the plan I recommend to most people. The jump from 1 website on Single to 100 websites on Premium for $1/month more is an absurd value. If you are building content sites, affiliate properties, or testing multiple projects, Premium gives you room to grow without upgrading.
Business Web Hosting ($3.99/mo): Best for Stores

Who this is for: WooCommerce stores, membership sites, business websites that depend on uptime, and anyone who needs staging.
What is missing: No dedicated IP. No priority support (that is, Cloud tier). Shared server resources.
My take: If you are running an online store or a site where downtime costs you money, the daily backups and staging tool alone justify the $1/month premium over Premium. The CDN inclusion is a nice bonus for international traffic. This is the plan I use for my WooCommerce test site.
Cloud Startup ($7.99/mo): For Growing Sites
You get: 200 GB SSD, dedicated resources (not shared), dedicated IP address, priority support, daily backups, free CDN, unlimited bandwidth, and a more powerful server allocation.
Who this is for: Sites with 50,000+ monthly visitors, resource-intensive applications, or anyone who needs guaranteed performance.
What is missing: This is a different product category. You are no longer on shared hosting. The price reflects that.
My take: Cloud Startup is Hostinger’s bridge between shared hosting and VPS. If your site has outgrown shared hosting but VPS management sounds intimidating, this is the right middle ground. The dedicated resources mean your performance is not affected by other users on the same server.
Hidden Costs to Watch For
Domain renewal: The free domain is for the first year only. After that, expect $13 to $16/year for a .com.
Domain privacy: Not included free on lower plans. WHOIS protection costs around $5/year.
Backups: The single plan has no automated backups. Premium has weekly. Business has daily. If you need on-demand backups or longer retention, you may need a third-party solution.
Email: Hostinger includes basic email on most plans, but their email hosting is separate from business email products like Google Workspace. If you need a professional email with calendar and collaboration tools, budget an additional $6/month for Google Workspace or similar.
